協会案内
当協会は広く実験動物生産者並びに関連事業業者を集結し、1985年（昭和60年）2月8日に創立し、同年3月18日に農林水産省所管で斯界初の公益法人として認可されました。
また、公益社団法人への移行が認定され、2012年（平成24年）4月1日移行登記をいたしました。実験動物及び動物実験に関連する技術及び福祉の向上等を図り、高品質な実験動物及び適正な動物実験を普及し、 もって公衆衛生の向上に寄与することを目的として今後も公益活動をして行きます。
主な事業

1)調査資料収集等
・実験動物飼育管理ガイドライン等の作成
・微生物モニタリングマニュアル等の作成
・実験動物年間総販売量調査
・実験動物関連請負・派遣に関するＱ＆Ａ集等の作成
・動物福祉指針等の作成
・海外技術情報の収集と情報誌「LABIO21」の年3回の発行
・ホームページの更新
2)相談、助言、評価・認証
・動物福祉についての相談・助言
・動物生産施設等の自主管理に対する第三者による調査、評価・認証、公表
3)研修、セミナー、育成
・通信教育及びスクーリングの実施 ・各種研修会及び教育セミナー フォーラムの開催

・実験動物1級・2級技術者資格認定試験
・認定・登録及び更新
・実験動物技術指導員の認定・登録
収益事業
(1)実験動物に関連した教科書、DVD、必要に応じて作成した資料及び研修等で使用する教材等を編集して出版発行する事業
(2)高品質な実験動物を経済的に生産し、安定供給を図るための血液及び動物の微生物モニタリング検査斡旋仲介事業

About JSLAR
JSLAR was founded in 1985, as a federated organization with corporations of laboratory animal breeders and related companies throughout Japan. It has been public endorsement of the Japanese government for its contribution to the advance of public health.
Aims of JSLAR
The experiments using laboratory animals are indispensable in development of life sciences, advance of medical treatment, and safety of food. The JSLAR promotes the animal welfare in steady supply of high quality laboratory animals, brings up excellent technicians, and finally results in the advance of public health.
Project of JSLAR
1)Arrangement of good quality laboratory animal breeding.
Techniques on adequate handling, steady supply including breeding and transport, and intermediate arrangement for microbiological monitoring.
2)To promote animal welfare.
Honor system of laboratory animals through legal compliance on animal right, enforce ‘3R’ tenets of Russel and Burch.
3)Education, accreditation and registration of laboratory animal technicians.
Bring up laboratory animal technicians with excellent skill and comprehensive knowledge.
4)To collect and disseminate the information on laboratory animals and animal experiments, by publish of quarterly journal, textbook and DVD, and management of website.
